"The Neo Geo would go on to have games made for it until 2002"
Samurai Shodown V Special was the last game that came out on the NeoGeo and it was released in 2004... a whopping 14 years after the system was released. The NeoGeo was always a special system , in a league of its own, mainly due to the fact only a (very) wealthy minority could afford it. I probably never would've owned the system had I not found it second-hand with a second joystick for about 175$...
I wish all the previous Metal Gear games would be remade with the MGS V TPP 3D engine and control method, which were top notch in the series, but I'd be content with only the Metal Gear SOLID series being remade, up to Peace Walker.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater (well, the "Subsistence" edition) remade as an open-world game, with a much bigger scale and notably vast areas where you could get lost in and fight with nothing but gators and snakes and deadly swamps would b...
I've only played the demo of Outlast, but it was pretty scary. Too bad the atmosphere and lack of light in those games are more often than not used as an excuse to skimp on the graphics...
Wow, this time it's really urgent to stock up on all those NES, SNES, SMS, MD, NG, N64 etc ROMs I think, before all those websites are either taken down or decide to take themselves down to avoid a massive trial with million $ fines...
I thought the "PS" logo at the centre was gold instead of chrome and that it was going to make me regret buying my original PS4 Pro SKU, but nah! I still like mine better. That said I'd like it even more if it were piano black instead of matte black.
Hold one a sec... last I checked Uncharted 4 was a Playstation 4 exclusive, so how did a modder manage to alter the game's code to have a first-person view like it was some PC game?!
I wonder if there's any chance we'll get procedurally generated cities in a future update. They've started adding a bit more life to NMS, with spacecruisers that apparently feature a lot more NPCs but, while feeling the angst of being stranded all alone on a dangerous planet may have its own charm in itself, you can't really portray the universe as being comprised of only such planets and not have some where intelligent and civilized human being-like lifeforms have developped ...
The suit from the Sam Raimi movies, please Insomniac, add them as dlc at least.
It's just what they decide to have based on their taste and sensibility, don't make it sound like there's one mother brain at the heart of Sony's headquarters that decides somehow to favor japanese consumers in terms of the products and the commercials they'll have. The Spider-man PS4 commercial that'll be running on TV where you live will have been decided by the folks who run SIEA or SIEE, and whatever commercial agency they and the folks at Insomniac will have decid...
I read somewhere that the "Quality mode"of No Man's Sky on the PS4 Pro renders the game at native 1800, not 1080, and 30fps. Someone is full of sh!t...
Super Mario World 1st and Super Mario Bros 3 2nd were a given (in spite of the fact in places SMB3 is even better than SMW), but Yoshi's Island/Super Mario World 2 should've ranked higher IMHO. Those games are cult classics, not just among platforming games, but games full stop. They were and still are the cream of the crop, perhaps even the best videogames ever made in history.
But the LittleBigPlanet games deserved a spot in there somewhere. And also other 8-bit and 16-bit ...
God of War PS4 is not a reboot though, it's a sequel.
Resident Evil 3...
...Nemesis! Please Capcom, make it happen on this gen of consoles, not the next one, I don't want to have to purchase a brand new system to play this bad motherf*cker, please!
Hmm... I guess the hope of having Google Earth available on the dashboard of the PS4 with the option to navigate in it via the PSVR has grown a lot fainter now...
The greatest gaming gen? With games that must be entirely installed on the HDD, even when bought on disc, meaning you only get to play a tiny handful of games at any given time, even when you have a 1 TB HDD? The gen of the generalization of microtransactions and season passes at that. Online play now stuck behind a paywall on PS. No support for audio CDs, or 4K HDBR when the PS3 played normal BRs and the PS2 DVDs and the PS1 CDs, barely any backward compatibility (I'm talking on PS)...
By the time Dreams is finally released, it will have taken almost an entire generation to develop it, but guess what... It's going to be worth it.
We're in summer mind you, and the temperature where I live hits 35-36° these days...
Damn, now I REALLY want that game.I'm having regrets I didn't buy the collector's edition when it was 30€ on second hand back then. I always knew No Man's Sky would become a big game.
Except on disc, that is. The first game came out right back when the PS3 came out and I've been thinking about buying it for some time now (over a decade!), but I don't know if they're worth anything. here's hoping the physical copies aren't going to fly off shelves now.
"In this context, ‘social adequacy’ means that symbols of unconstitutional organisations can be used in games in individual cases, as long as those symbols serve an artistic or scientific purpose, or depict current or historical events."
That was always the case for historical movies, why not for videogames, go figure...
